Barton Mines Company is actively hiring a Mine Operator to join our North Creek, NY operation.
We are a well-established business producing the world's highest quality garnet abrasives that are used in industrial and commercial settings worldwide. We have been mining and milling in the Adirondack Mountains since 1878, and our family-owned company is one that is founded on culture, integrity, and excellence and has been doing so for more than six generations.

This position's starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with growth opportunities through on-the-job training.
This position rotates on 4 - 10 hour shifts working from 6:30am - 5:00pm; Monday - Thursday and Wednesday - Saturday. Overtime, weekend work, and holiday hours are scheduled, as needed.

Job Summary
In this position, you will operate crushing machinery and multiple pieces of heavy equipment to support efficient mining operations. Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and completes repairs to maximize production and minimize downtime. Works collaboratively with the operations team, follows all safety and MSHA regulations, and provides support in various mine roles as needed to maintain workflow.
